Sunflower Field- The star of the summer!

Our sunflower field has been a star of the summer again here at Becketts Farm. We have had lots of lovely feedback about the space this year, which has been great to hear. This yearโs sunflower field had a wonderful path travelling right the way through the field, meaning visitors could have a totally immersive experience. As well as the sunflowers, our purpose-built picnic area has certainly proven to be popular, with many families taking advantage of the beautiful sunny weather. Furthermore, our wildflower area was also expanded this year. It really was fascinating to see just how many different...

Ways to make the most of our Conference Centre this Summer!

Air-conditioned Workspace Did you know that all of our conference rooms have air-conditioning? Many people hire our smaller rooms as an individual workspace rather than a meeting room for multiple delegates. Our smallest room has a small boardroom table set up for 6 and can be hired on an hourly rate. In fact, itโs not just the Conference Centre which has air-conditioning! Youโll find our on-site Farm Shop, Restaurant and Coffee Shop to be beautifully cool as well. Home working, without the kids to distract you With home working still the norm for many people, the school summer holidays may...
Local Honey – It’s the bees-knees!

Our stock of Becketts Farm honey is back in store, and it flies off the shelves so quickly each year. Produced under two miles away from our store on our farmland in Earlswood, this really is local honey in every sense of the word. Beekeeper, Andrew draws the honey from a small colony of bees just down the road from here. On average a bee travels less than a mile from its hive for food, so the honey is produced from the nectar of local plants and flowers. For many beekeepers, June sees the first honey harvest of the year....
Superfood Summer Smoothies

With lots of lovely fruit coming into season now, itโs the perfect time to dig the blender from the back of the cupboard and get experimenting with smoothies. Theyโre simple to make and really fun to experiment with, along with packing in plenty of health benefits and nutrients. Most nutritionists would agree that eating the whole fruit is better for you overall, but when we are short on time, inspiration and letโs face it โ will power to keep up the healthy snacking โ a smoothie can be a great solution. Whatโs more, by including other food groups other than...

Her Royal Highness enjoys her morning cuppa with a dash of milk and some biscuits...
Becketts for BBQ!

Becketts for BBQ! Us Brits love a BBQ, especially when the sun is shining. If you havenโt done so already, it will soon be time to dust off the barbeque and get it fired up to celebrate BBQ week which is at the end of the month. Itโs almost as if we need an excuse to enjoy a BBQ, which we certainly donโt! We are all very familiar with organizing an impromptu get-together, writing a quick shopping list and heading off to the supermarket. We believe when it comes to finding the perfect BBQ ingredients there is only one place...
