Who are we?
‘We’ refers to A. E. Beckett & Sons Ltd (known as Becketts Farm), a Farming Business also operating a Farm Shop, Restaurant, Cookery School and Conference Centre. We are registered as a Limited Company (no.682856). The registered address is Heath Farm, Alcester Road, Wythall, Birmingham, B47 6AJ.
How do we collect information from you?
We obtain information about you when you use our website, for example, when you contact us about products and services, place an order, book a table, apply for a job, enter an online competition or if you register to receive our newsletter.
What type of information is collected?
The personal information we collect varies dependent on your activity on our website. Personal Data that we might collect includes your name, email address, postal address, age, IP address, date of birth and information regarding what pages are accessed and when. If you purchase a product or book a cookery class with us, your card information is NOT held by us, it is collected by our third party payment processor Opayo, who specialise in the secure online capture and processing of credit/debit card transactions. If you book a table in our Restaurant, you may be asked to enter card details to secure the booking. Should you fail to attend the reservation you have made, your card will be charged. These card details are held by Stripe, a third-party payment processor and your card information is NOT held by us.
How is your information used?
We may use your information to:
- Process orders that you have submitted;
- Reply to an enquiry form that you have submitted;
- Process entries into a competition, and contact you if you have requested us to;
- Send you communications which you have requested and that may be of interest to you. These may include information about events, activities, promotions or news;
- Manage a restaurant or cookery school booking
We will hold your personal information on our systems for as long as is necessary for the relevant activity. Should you wish for your details to be removed from our website system please email info@beckettsfarm.co.uk or contact us on 01564 823402. Please be aware that it may take us up to 30 days to delete your data from our system. You have the right to be erased from our systems unless the request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.
Who has access to your information?
We will not sell or rent your information to third parties.
We will not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Third Party Service Providers
We may pass your information to our third-party service providers for the purposes of completing tasks and providing services to you on our behalf. When we use third party service providers, we share only the personal information that is necessary to deliver the service. KIJO – Our website is hosted and maintained by KIJO Creative Ltd. They have access to the internal workings of our website and the information they hold. KIJO are bound contractually to adhere to stringent data security measures when handling our customer data and to never utilise our customer data for their own marketing purposes. Opayo – We use Opayo (formerly Sagepay) to process payments for transaction on the website. Opayo is also audited annually under the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) and is a fully approved Level 1 payment services provider, which is the highest level of compliance. Impact Data – Our email marketing is done with the use of marketing automation provider, ‘Impact Data’, for more about how Impact Data processes your data, see the ‘Marketing’ section of this policy
ResDiary – If you book a table in our Restaurant, your data will be processed and stored by ResDiary. Customer data is stored within ResDiary for 24 months. You can read more about ResDiary’s privacy policy here: https://sales.resdiary.com/privacy-statement/
Stripe – For some Restaurant reservations under certain circumstances we operate a ‘tokenisation’ system. Under this, customers are required to provide their card details, and should they fail to show up for their booking their card is charged the pre-agreed fee. This is stated in our booking terms and conditions. The third-party provider used to process this data is Stripe. Stripe are a trusted online payments provider. We may transfer your personal information to a third party as part of a sale of some or all of our business and assets to any third party or as part of any business restructuring or reorganisation. In this instance, we are committed to ensuring that your privacy rights continue to be protected.
Marketing
We will not contact you for marketing purposes by email, phone or text message unless you have given your prior consent. You can change your marketing preferences at any time by contacting us by email: info@beckettsfarm.co.uk or telephone on 01564 823402.
If you choose to subscribe to our newsletter via our website, or to opt-in to receive email marketing, then your information will automatically be transferred to our third party marketing automation platform, Impact Data. This third party data processor take data protection and the General Data Protection Regulation seriously, and holds personal data with the utmost care and security. Impact Data has self-certified to the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield and lawfully transfers EU/EEA personal data to the U.S. pursuant to the Privacy Shield Certification.
Customers are able to manage their subscription preferences additionally via the ‘unsubscribe’, or ‘my profile’ link at the bottom of all communications sent.
Profiling – We may analyse your personal information to create a profile of your interests, preferences and visitation rates so that we can contact you with information relevant to you.
Accessing and Updating Information
The accuracy of your information is important to us. Alternatively, you can telephone 01564 823402. You have the right to ask for a copy of the information Becketts Farm hold about you. Data Retention
If you set up an online account with us and have not logged into your account for 24 months, your personal details and login details associated with this user account will be deleted. However, any order you have placed and accompanying details which you have supplied may however be retained on the system for up to six years for accounting, tax reporting and record keeping purposes.
If you send any enquiry via our website your data will be held for up to 60 days.
For Restaurant bookings, data is retained for 24 months.
Security precautions
When you give us personal information, we take steps to ensure that it’s treated securely. Our entire website is secured using an SSL certificate which uses SHA-256 with ECDSA Encryption. You can click the padlock in your browser to see more information about our SSL certificate.
While we make every effort to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us via this website, and you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your information, we strive to ensure its security within our systems. 16 or Under
If you are aged 16 or under‚ please get your parent/guardian’s permission beforehand whenever you provide us with personal information.
For our Children’s Party Enquiries or to book a Child’s space on a children’s event that we run, we do require the age and/or date of birth for the child as this helps us to tailor the customer experience that you and your child receives. If you would prefer not to disclose this information, this field is not mandatory.

As part of the services offered to you through this website, the information which you provide to us may be transferred to countries outside the European Union (“EU”). By way of example, this may happen if any of our servers are from time to time located in a country outside of the EU. These countries may not have similar data protection laws to the UK.
